Mizuwari is a classic Japanese serving ritual that translates literally to mixed with water. This method dilutes the whisky gently, unlocking delicate aromas and complex notes that might otherwise remain hidden behind a strong alcohol bite.
To prepare a traditional Mizuwari, fill a tall highball glass completely with large, clear ice cubes. Pour in two ounces of Togouchi Japanese Blended Premium Whiskey and stir gently to chill the glass thoroughly.
Next, add four ounces of high-quality mineral water, preferably chilled. Stir the mixture once or twice from the bottom up and let it rest for a moment before sipping alongside your favorite light meal.
